EU notice versus GARAN: keep the decisions separate
The general legal-guarantee notice and GARAN are not interchangeable. Notice27 keeps them separate and does not generate eligibility from incomplete product or producer facts.
The general notice
The general notice communicates legal-guarantee information for the reviewed consumer-goods journey in the selected official language.
GARAN
GARAN relates to a qualifying producer commercial guarantee. Exact producer, guarantee, product/model, country, language and evidence facts must be confirmed by the merchant.
Fail closed when facts do not resolve
- Do not infer a producer guarantee from marketing copy.
- Do not reuse a broad label for an unmapped variation or bundle line.
- Do not treat a missing field as consent to display.
- Do keep a visible manual-review state for the merchant.
