European Commission materials present the harmonised legal-guarantee notice and the GARAN label as distinct consumer-guarantee information tools. Their legal scope, qualifying conditions, required content and use must be checked against the authoritative text and the facts of the relevant product, guarantee, transaction and country. Why one cannot stand in for the other
